Two nights of smooth jazz on the Square in downtown Delray Beach. Sunset on the avenue. Headliners on the Pavilion. The Florida coast at its most cinematic.
Florida Jazz Fest is the South Florida Coast's first ticketed upscale smooth jazz festival — a curated weekend bringing the genre's most-loved touring artists to the most walkable downtown in Palm Beach County.
From Saturday's sunset opener through Sunday's headliner encore, every set is built to be heard the way smooth jazz was meant to be heard: under a Florida sky, with a glass of something cold, surrounded by people who know every note.
Reserve Your SeatWe didn't pick this weekend out of a calendar. We picked it because every variable lined up — the weather, the audience, the touring calendar, and the Square itself.
Late February is the week most people don't know about. Mid-70s, low humidity, the long Florida sunset that makes smooth jazz make sense. A month later and it's too hot. A month earlier and the room isn't full yet.
South Florida snowbird season at its apex. The seasonal residents are all in town at once — the audience that grew up on this music, who came to it through their first car radio, and who are right here, for one weekend, just up the street.
Late February is when the genre's biggest names run their Florida winter circuit. We didn't have to convince the genre's biggest names to fly to Florida. We just have to invite them to Delray on the right weekend.
Same weekend, the front lawn of Old School Square hosts Art on the Square from 10 to 4 both days. Atlantic Avenue at its February best. Downtown Delray moving at the speed it was built for.
You see them up in Tampa. You see them in Daytona. Maybe you catch them in Miami. But what about right here, in the golden communities of Delray and Palm Beach?
Here's the answer you've been waiting for.

The Florida sun drops behind the palms. The first horn line cuts through. Two thousand of your closest friends settle into beach chairs and wine glasses. This is what smooth jazz is supposed to feel like.
